Terms of Service

Welcome to BabyLog. These Terms govern your use of the BabyLog mobile app, web app, and related services (the "Services"), operated by 2ndwave Studio ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Who can use BabyLog
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
- You must be a parent, legal guardian, or someone authorized by a parent or guardian to log information about a child.
- BabyLog is not directed at children. Children do not create accounts. See our Children's Information Notice.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity in your account, including any family members you invite.
- One human per account. No bots or automated signups.
3. Your content
- You own the content you upload (photos, notes, growth measurements, and similar). We do not claim ownership.
- You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content only as needed to provide the Services to you and your invited family members.
- You are responsible for what you upload. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.
- Do not use the Services for the purposes listed in our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. AI features
BabyLog includes AI-powered features such as the AI Coach, insights, and assisted event entry. When you use these features:
- The text and images you submit are processed by AI service providers we contract with.
- Our agreements prohibit these providers from using your content to train their models.
- AI output is informational and not medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions about your child.
5. Subscriptions and payments
BabyLog offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription.
- Subscriptions are auto-renewable unless cancelled.
- Pricing, billing cycle, and any free trial are shown at purchase.
- App Store purchases are billed through your Apple ID and governed by Apple's Standard EULA. Manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

6. Cancellation and termination
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. See Cancellation.
- You may delete your BabyLog account at any time from in-app Settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your data within 30 days from active systems and within 90 days from backups.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Service changes
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We aim to give notice for material changes that affect existing users. Pricing changes for existing subscribers are announced at least 30 days in advance.
8. No medical advice. No warranties.
BabyLog is a logging and informational tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information shown by the Services — including AI suggestions, growth percentiles, and reminders — is for general reference only.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100 if you have not paid us anything.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we update the date at the top and, for material changes, notify you via the app or email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
